Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are a necessary and integral part of Operation Jobs. Not only do the volunteers perform a valuable function, they also bring a richness of experience from a diverse work background. It is this experience that provides the job seekers with real life examples of job duties and responsibilities.

Interviewing

Volunteers that interview job seekers explore the past work history and interpret job readiness, evaluate skill level, and assist in writing a resume that will be read by the prospective employers.

Administrative

Volunteers are needed to assist in typing resumes, filing, and making telephone calls to confirm appointments.

Outreach

It is important to the success of Operation Jobs that we remain active in the community. This involves searching job listings on internet websites to learn about available jobs and to determine the company’s policy regarding ex-offenders. Operation Jobs also contacts staffing agencies to obtain job availability information.

Job Fairs

OJ conducts job fairs for specific companies as requested. In addition Operation Jobs holds Second Chance Job Fairs to assist clients with a felony or misdemeanor background.
